COLMAR

Dates: From November 24 to December 29, 2022
Hours: weekdays, Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday 24/12 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday 25/12 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and on 26/12: from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

Let yourself be seduced by the intimate and warm atmosphere of this city of art and history whose exceptional heritage serves as a showcase for the festival! Everywhere you look, there are windows and houses decorated, a succession of streets and alleys animated with the smell of orange and cinnamon. At nightfall, a subtle play of light highlights the countless architectural treasures from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. A sublime “path of light” leads the walker to the discovery of 5 real Christmas markets, each one nestled in an idyllic setting and giving off its own identity. A sixth market, located on the Place de la Cathédrale, is dedicated to on-site catering.

Christmas balls from Meisenthal – EXHIBITION & sale
Open your eyes wide to admire the wonders of the glass blowers of the Northern Vosges. Alongside the traditional models, you will contemplate a special edition of contemporary balls with a unique creation renewed every year. ”

Discover the Meisenthal blown glass balls, marvels of the glass art of the Northern Vosges, a guarantee of authenticity and quality. A small exhibition will make you discover several products created by the Meisenthal blowers. Elf Christmas Market – The elves will open the doors to their Christmas market. During the whole Advent period, a small imaginary world will occupy the town hall square: a magic village, made of about twenty original wooden houses, each one different from the other, built by the little hands of the elves under the impulse of the members of the association, Christian Moeglin, marker in Turckheim and all his team. It is by going to the traditional Advent Calendar that you will now discover this magical decor dedicated to children, who will also be able to share their dreams, through the Well of Wishes.


EGUISHEIM

Dates: From November 25 to December 30 (closed on December 24, 25 and 26)
Times: from 10H00 to 19H00.

Authentic Christmas Market – A picturesque and intimate Christmas market featuring Alsatian customs and traditions. Several themes are addressed throughout the period. This Christmas market has obtained the label “Villes et Villages de Noël” rewarding the authenticity and richness of our heritage. In Eguisheim, the priority is given to about thirty craftsmen and creators who compete with tempting stalls and glittering houses. Eguisheim, the ideal place to share a dream moment and discover the magic of Christmas in Alsace!

KAYSERSBERG

Dates: November 5, 26 and 27, December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20, 2022
Opening hours : from 10H00 to 20H00.

The inhabitants of the medieval city of Kaysersberg, decorate their windows with garlands of fir trees, the city becomes imperial and illuminated at dusk. The smells of cinnamon mingle with the scent of spiced mulled wine through the bustling streets of the 2017 French People’s Favorite Village, this festive and joyful atmosphere settles in for the four weekends of Advent. The artisans carefully selected to exhibit their original creations in the thirty or so small cottages nestled in an authentic and picturesque 17th century setting at the foot of the castle ruins.
Taste all the gourmet specialties: Bredele, the famous Christmas cakes with almonds, hazelnuts, aniseed, chocolate, vanilla, sweet or savory kougelhopfs (the oddly shaped brioche), beraweckas (dried fruit loaves), manalas (little brioche men)… All accompanied by a delicious chocolate or mulled wine.”

NEUF BRISACH

Dates: December 9, 10 and 11, 2022
Opening hours : from 14H00 to 19H00 on Friday, from 10H00 to 21H00 on Saturday and from 10H00 to 18H30 on Sunday.

Marché de Noël d’Antan – The fortified city of 1699, in the Land of Christmas Stars, welcomes exhibitors, extras and craftsmen in period costumes on the Place Forte, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Christmas enchantment begins with the guided tours offered by Vauban himself! Live Christmas like in 1700, attend demonstrations of old trades and discover original and quality products: crafts, Christmas decorations, local products…

 

In Neuf-Brisach, live a Christmas in the time of Vauban! The exhibitors and extras welcome you dressed in their period costume, they will make you discover the trades of the past. ”

RIBEAUVILLE

Dates: December 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2022

Medieval Christmas Market – At Christmas time, Ribeauville is glittering with magic and immerses the visitor in a joyful medieval atmosphere. The city of the minstrels draws from its history the necessary ingredients to propose a particularly original and successful medieval Christmas market: its batch of animations will create the disorientation (beggars, manants, dancers, strollers, etc. in the streets of the city), its stalls will delight the gourmets (salted and sweetened delicacies, wild boar on the spit accompanied by cervoise and wine) and the amateurs of decoration (Advent wreaths, artisanal cribs, candles)… This Christmas market is like a real show for young and old.

RIQUEWIHR

Dates: November 26 to December 21, 2022
Hours: Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Traditional Christmas market – Riquewihr, which for centuries has been able to combine the quality of its architecture with that of its astonishingly well-preserved heritage, is a must-see when discovering Alsace. At Christmas time, the city is bathed in light and offers its traditional Christmas market in a magical setting combining the spirit of Christmas with everything that makes the charm of Alsace.

BERGHEIM

Dates: December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 and 11, 2022
Schedule: Friday from 4pm to 9pm, Saturday from 10am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 8pm.

Very pretty village nestled within its medieval walls, its winding streets and its old houses of the XV& century…. A festive decor, between houses, windows, and decorated fountains that Bergheim adorns itself with a thousand lights and invites you to discover its Christmas market. A journey of cribs to discover.

Stroll through the alleys and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of Christmas by discovering more than 80 handcrafted cribs!

The Bergheim cribs path proposes an original route to discover more than 80 handcrafted cribs created by the inhabitants and the associations of the village and set up in the city, illuminated and decorated with Christmas colors.

OBERNAI

Dates : November 25 to December 31
Opening hours : Open every day from 10H00 to 19H00, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until 20H00. Closing at 4pm on December 24th and 31st. Closed on December 25th.

Christmas Market – The chalets of the Christmas Market of Gastronomy and Handicrafts invite you to meet passionate craftsmen with real know-how. A great opportunity to taste local products: foie gras, gingerbread, salted meats, bredeles, Alsatian wine, jams, Christmas beer… and to garnish your holiday tables. The creators propose what to decorate the tree or to please his close relations: suspensions, ceramics, objects out of wooden, balls out of blown glass…
A local speciality not to be missed: the tasting of mulled wine around the winegrowers’ cauldron, as much for its unique taste (based on white wine and spices) as for the atmosphere that reigns there!

STRASBOURG

Opening hours : Open every day from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. November 25: 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm and open on a voluntary basis on December 24: only the cottages wishing to do so will be open.

The Strasbourg Christmas Market is back with a vengeance! For more than 400 years, this Strasbourg event has been bringing people and visitors from all over the world back to the friendly atmosphere of the end-of-year celebrations in Alsace, around its cathedral. This year, the Strasbourg Christmas market is made up of 313 chalets, set up in various squares in the Alsatian capital.
