Jean Arp or Hans Arp, born in Strasbourg, September 16, 1886 and died in Basel, Switzerland, June 7, 1966, is a German and then French painter, sculptor and poet. Co-founder of the Dada movement in Zurich in 1916, he was then close to surrealism. He produced many plastic works, in close collaboration with his wife, Sophie Taeuber.
